The list below is subject to change by season based on popularity and enrollment.

Performance Rehearsals for all shows and all classes begin the week of September 14.
Eight week style Classes offered on Wednesdays & Fridays. Rehearsals based on show below.

Mondays:

Grades 8 – 11: Young Emerging Artists Program: Ink to Impact: Session 1 in trimester class

This 6 week class style program in playwriting and story development will provide students with solid principles of writing to incorporate trending social issues and how the story can bring current issues of the day to light through thoughtful and entertaining plays. Program will run as a trimester in 3 sessions of 6 weeks each with a final session offering the work developed as a collaborative whole in May. No class 10/12 this session. **A pre-cursor to attending the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh in 2028.

2026 FALL MAINSTAGE FOR ALL GRADE LEVELS**

Auditions for all grades 4 & up only: 9/9 & 9/10. Shows at the Andrews Memorial Town Hall: 11/20 – 11/22. Mandatory Tech Week for all grades 5 & up 11/16 – 11/19 from 4 – 8:30pm. **No refunds for any production after cast list released.

Wednesdays:

Grades 1-5: Shrek Kids ~ September 16 – November 18

Join us for Shrek the Musical Kids. This 40 minute production of a beloved classic story is designed for elementary level thespians to be performed on the Town Hall Stage for a matinee performance at 11:00am on the Sunday of the mainstage show. Students will all receive a speaking role they can be successful with based on our initial first class. No auditions for this class. Guaranteed to bring a smile to any young performers face. Students supply own costumes with suggested links/ideas. **No refunds for any production within one month of program start date. (10 weeks of instruction, includes one added rehearsal, Monday, 11/16 for final preparation.

Grades 5+: Tap/Jazz Combo for Tween & Teen Beginner ~ September 16 – November 4

A traditional 6-week class for students looking to improve their dance skills. Many young people discover theater over time and once bit by the bug realize they are missing essential dance skills to get top roles in high school theater or professionally.  This class is designed to teach the older actor the critical basics to tap dancing in an age-friendly environment.  This high energy, full of fun moves class will have you tapping with confidence at auditions in no time!

Grades 1-3: Tuesday group – Junior Thespians (Tuesday or Thursday)

This class is great for young emerging performers. Students will receive ensemble roles in the larger cast, learning at least 2 dance numbers and working on 1 scene to participate in with the larger cast, culminating in performing in ACT I of this full length musical at the Clinton Town Hall. No audition necessary for this level.

Grades 4/5: Tuesday group – Beginner/Intermediate Thespians (Select Tuesday or Thursday)

Quality, fun instruction for young emerging performers culminating in a full mainstage performance at the Clinton Town Hall. Audition Required. Everyone will receive a role regardless of experience with acting.  Contact kidzkonnectionct@gmail.com to reserve an audition.

Grades 6+: Intermediate/Advanced Thespians (Tuesday AND Thursday) *register only once, please.

Fun, challenging instruction in dance, acting and voice for youth interested in performance culminating in the mainstage musical on the Town Hall Stage. Audition Required.  Everyone receives a role regardless of skill level. Please contact kidzkonnectionct@gmail.com to reserve an audition.

Grades 6+: Broadway Basics ~ September 16 – November 4

This class will be fast-paced and super fun, moving students through a wide range of popular broadway musical numbers. This program will be high energy, lots of fun and strengthen a performer’s knowledge of basic dance steps used during musical choreography. A perfect class for any beginner to intermediate dancer or for the more seasoned performer to sharpen their cold dance audition skills.

Advanced Tap (Pre-Screening Required)

All students who wish to participate in this class must email kidzkonnectionct@gmail.com prior to registering to determine if this class is designed for your current skill level. This class is for advanced level performers who have prior experience with dance and/or theater

Shrek – Little Play Makers – Fairytale Theater – September 18 – November 6.
Showcase: Sunday, Nov. 8 at 12:30pm

This showcase option for our youngest thespians provides a more 1:1 instruction setting with less emphasis on the final production and more emphasis allowing our youngest thespians to engage in imaginative play with the Shrek the Musical Kids script. Students in this class will receive plenty of nurturing as they learn the story in this non-competitve approach to theater arts. Free showcase for friends and families , Sunday, November 8. Students supply own costumes (created from already owned clothes or following inexpensive options suggested during rehearsals.

Grades 4-6: The Performance Lab – September 18 – November 6

This eight week, once-a-week drama class, helps students write their own comic material, create stories for performance and incorporates improvisation games and drama activities into a fun and cooperative experience. A perfect class for any child interested in exploring the performing arts in a free, imaginative setting.

Grades 7+: Comedy Center – September 18 – November 6

A traditional improvisation and comic theater class held each Friday for eight weeks is specifically tailored for older students looking for a class to explore comedy and improvisation. Students learn the art of comic delivery through a variety of improvisation games and activities. A perfect way to end the week unwinding, laughing and meeting like-minded creative peers.

Saturdays:

Gr. 7+: Advanced Dramatic Theater: Anne of Green Gables

Advanced Dramatic Theater productions are for performers in grades 7 to adult who are serious about honing their acting skills with an emphasis on character development and physical performance.  Comic or Dramatic plays are determined seasonally, and may include thought-provoking discussion and analysis of the material, era, and socially conscious debate. Fall 2026: Anne of Green Gables. Audition required.  Once registered, contact shorelinetheateracademy@gmail.com to reserve an audition either 9/9 or 9/10. The advanced program rehearsals will run on Saturdays from September 19 – December 5 from 11 – 2pm. (No rehearsals 11/21 or 11/28. Tech Week is mandatory, Monday, December 7 – Thursday, December 10 from 4 – 9pm. Shows, Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12 at 6:30pm.

Grades: 7+  | Tuition : $334 | Class Time: Saturdays from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm | Location: 61 E. Main Street – The Academy Building, Clinton CT | Performances at The Academy.

WINTER INTENSIVE for High School, College and Adults:

Auditions: Video Submissions accepted through November 10 or in-person by appointment only, Sunday, November 8 from 2 – 6pm; Monday, November 9 from 6 – 8pm or Tuesday, November 10 from 6 – 8pm.

Rehearsals begin Saturday, December 19 with additional rehearsals flexible December 21, 28, 29, 30, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, and mandatory reharsals 1/9 – 1/14. Performances held at the Andrews Memorial Town Hall Auditorium, Clinton, January 15 and Saturday, January 16 at 7:00pm.

Grades 9+ | Tuition: $250 / University Student $$150 | WINTER INTENSIVE: During the Holiday Break, December 19 – January 16. Rehearsals subject to change with cast input: (Hours determined with cast input) 12/19; 12/21; 12/28; 12/29; 12/30; 1/2; 1/3; 1/4; Mandatory tech week: 1/9 – 1/14. Shows: On the Clinton Town Hall Stage, 1/15 & 1/16 at 7:00pm.

Classes are subject to rescheduling in the event conflicts are unavoidable. All production rehearsals run through the show dates of the specific show. Tech week rehearsals generally occur daily and are the final week of each production scheduled. Tech week rehearsals scheduled are mandatory. You are urged to check and clear any potential personal conflicts NOW for any of the shows you are interested in participating. To secure placement all programs require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit. Full payment is due the first day of the month of first rehearsals/classes. There are no refunds after this date or following the cast list posting under any circumstances.
